About Us

SFK Birkensperrholz

We are a private, Turkish owned company, incorporated in Kazachstan, using birch trees sourced from state-owned forests in Kazachstan. Below you find some impressions of our factory, established in 2019.

After having obtained the required permits the harvested tree trunks are first softened with water and then treated with steam to obtain a better processing consistency. As raw material we use 100% birch wood.

image 19

To obtain a stronger plywood the trunks are peeled either in the direction of or against the direction of the grain to two different length and at a predetermined thickness.

image 3

We only use full size sheets. This increases the structural strength of the plywood considerably.

image 6

To ensure a full bonding of the sheets controlled hot air dryers are used to dry the sheets.

image 7

Then the separate sheets are glued together to the relevant standards crosswise.

image 5

We source our glue from a reknown manufacturer with headquarters in Austria.

image 9

The glued sheets are kept under a specified pressure in the pre-pressing line according to the desired thickness of the final plywood sheet.

image 8

The auto-loader hot press line feeds the sheets into the hot press. During this process the glue cannot dry before the pressing process commences. For the heat control of the hot oil circulation we use products of the German company Samson. With the help of the automatic loading process and the constant heat control we achieve a lasting high-quality final product.

The fully automatic hot-oil boiler prevents sudden heat fluctuations. Thus the quality of the final product is enhanced.

image 12

The raw plywood coming out of the hot press is being cut to size and thereafter calibrated and sanded.

image 11

Plywood to be film-processed is taken to the film-press line. Heat control valves with a tolerance of 1° C ensure a very even lamination process, resulting in a higher quality product.

image 10

The density of the film determines the length of the pressing process.

image 13

The last sizing process is used to achieve perfect dimensions of the plywood sheet.

We source the film for our filmed products from the German plant of the world re-known manufacturer Surfactor.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
